Dundowran State School

MA! 09 Hervey Bay Image 3
The original school building that has been renovated and set up with a display of school memorabilia over many years. Much of it from the original school, which was established around 1900 and closed in 1961. At best, it had two teachers but mainly a single teacher. Herb Purser was Headmaster for many years and there are many ex-students who visit and provide a photographic history.
