Did you know... Did you know that the Australian tobacco Museum, 'The Golden Leaf' is the only registered tobacco museum in Australia? Information panels depict the story and images of the industry which boomed in the 1950s and 1960s.

A series of 7 panels tells the story of the selection of the rural runs when Inglewood area was settled from the early 1940s. The stories of Terrica, Warroo, Glenelg, Coolmunda, Bodumba, Whetstone and Canning Creek include interesting facts and photographs.

Did you know... Did you know that the Inglewood Heritage Centre is housed in the original Cobb & Co Depot, built in 1954. It remains in its original state, with centre well for trucks to unload.

This project was instigated by the Stanthorpe Art Gallery to commemorate Alan Cunningham's exploration through South East Queensland. Old photographs were enlarged and framed and the Inglewood Heritage Society completed the collection.

Did you know... Did you know that the Museum houses the buggy, 'The Drag', owned by the Leslie Bros. when they first settled in Queensland. It was give to their daughter, Anne, on her marriage to Frederick Bracker of Warroo Selection in the 1840s, where it remained until being transferred to the centre. Last used by Beth and Jim Goodrich in the 1959 Centenary Celebrations.

Coolmunda Dam was built in 1968, after the collapse of the dairy industry, to offer farmers alternatives in different crops. It remains an integral part of rural industry and a very efficient and reliable water resource.
