Did you know... Did you know that 'The Valley Rattler' is housed in the original Gympie Railway Station, built in 1913 and is a living tribute to Gympie's golden rail heritage?

This loco was previously located as a static display in a park in Roma. The locomotive was built in the UK by the firm of Armstrong Whitworth. C17 802 was restored by the Mary Valley Heritage Railway in 2003.

Did you know... Did you know that the Red Rocket Railmotor (RM76) used to operate in the 1930s from Gympie to Brooloo?

The RM76 traditionally ran the Brooloo line to Gympie providing a daily link to the town for shopping, transportation of goods and a means for children to get to school.

Did you know... Did you know that the Mary Valley Branch Line opened for service in 1914 to support the dairy, timber and pineapple industries?

C17 967 was built in 1950 by Walkers Limited in Maryborough. 967 was preserved at a park in Caloundra and moved to the Ghan Society in 1985. It was bought outright by the Mary Valley Heritage Railway in 2007.
